The Classic Daiquiri: Refresh Yourself!

A favourite of the writer Ernest Hemingway, the Daiquiri is the quintessential rum cocktail and one of the easiest, freshest drinks you can make.
An extremely simple cocktail, the daiquiri consists of rum, lime juice, and sugar syrup. The three ingredients should ideally be balanced in your glass. If it’s sour, add more sugar, and vice versa. It is a matter of personal taste as to how you take your Daiquiri, though this recipe is a good place to start.

Ingredients

-45 ml light rum

-22.5 ml ounce fresh lime juice

-7.5 ml sugar syrup

Preparation

1. Pour the light rum, lime juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
2. Shake well.
3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

ThreeSixty Signature Tip – Don’t be afraid of being adventurous! Daiquiris can blend with almost anything. Avocados and bananas are particularly tasty additions!

Though adding more ingredients, such as grapefruit changes the colour substantially, the classic Daiquiri’s sheen goes well with demure serving trays such as our Arroyo tray.
