The French 75 – A Classic with a Kick!

The old classic known as the French 75 was given it’s name due to the kick of the drink. It was said to be equivalent to getting hit by a 75mm shell. As such, we recommend exercising a bit of caution. And in case you feel woozy, why not collapse onto the comfortable Agate low seating sofa?

Ingredients

  • 30 ml gin
  • 2 dashes sugar syrup
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 60 ml Champagne

Procedure

Combine gin, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled champagne glass. Top up with Champagne. Stir gently.

ThreeSixty Signature Tip – While Gin is the most common base for the French 75, why not mix it up by using the original base of Cognac?
And if you’re looking for an unobtrusive bar case, able to hold the ingredients but not overwhelm, why not check out some of our signature bars? We highly recommend the Warbler Bar case, as it’s style blends well with this delicious cocktail!
