How to Make the Perfect Bloody Mary

The Bloody Mary is the quintessential Prohibition-era cocktail, with its origins being traced back to New York in the 1920s. The Russian Revolution was essential towards unearthing this drink, as many immigrants who moved to America brought vodka and caviar with them. In New York, one of the bartenders in the iconic bar Harry’s, Ferdinand Petiot, began experimenting by mixing vodka with other mixtures to create the perfect cocktail. Tomato juice caught his eye as he noticed during the Prohibition era that this was referred to as ‘tomato juice cocktail’. He decided to mix the two together, and the rest is delicious history.

Ingredients

180 ml Bloody Mary Mix (containing your ideal mixture of tomato juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lime, lemon and hot sauces)
